Cortijo la Estrella enjoys a privileged position at the foothills of the Sierra de las Estancias in six acres of almond grove with spectacular scenery, close to the Sierra María-Los Vélez Natural Park , with easy access from the A92N motorway and the airports of Murcia , Almeria , Alicante and Granada.

Cortijo la Estrella offers a total of 9 rural one and two bedroom self-catering apartments, bar, terraces, barbeques and 12x5 metre swimming pool.

An ideal location to spend a relaxing holiday with family and friends in the heart of nature, with the opportunity to enjoy activities including bird watching, walking, astronomy/ stargazing, 4x4 treks, mountain climbing, caving, mountain biking, paragliding, paint ball and many more.

Cortijo la Estrella is less than an hour to the sandy beaches of San Juan stretching to Mojácar and beyond to the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata-Níjar.

We can cater for groups of up to 30 persons and are happy to organise guided walks, cultural tours, and various activities for your group.

Cortijo la Estrella has recently recieved two certificates:

CETS: "The European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (CETS) is a proposal to effectively advance the principles of sustainable tourism in protected natural areas (PNA). CETS was developed by European representatives of the protected areas and tourism enterprises. In a second phase it establishes a bonding system consisting of a voluntary agreement that commits the signatories: ENP managers, tourism enterprises and other local stakeholders to implement a local strategy for sustainable tourism”.
