Cortijo la Estrella is situated in an ideal location for enjoying many of the golf courses in the provinces of both Almeria and Murcia. The nearest golf courses are less than an hour drive away and there are courses suitable for both beginners and the more experienced golfer. We can accommodate groups of up to 30 persons.

Pitching and Putting Greens
The 18 hole course has been carefully designed to combine holes that represent a real challenge to the player, with other less strenuous holes. The course design and setting make it quite spectacular. The tees are particularly noteworthy, positioned on small raised platforms surrounded by volcanic rock, as well as the wide, generous fairways.
All in all a real challenge for players of all levels.

The Desert Springs course has been built to the full USGA specifications. This course is a must for both the beginner and the experienced golfer as fairways have been kept generously wide but the springs, watercourses, dry river beds, rocks, thousands of cacti and numerous bunkers will test the skills of the low handicapper. First desert course to be built in Europe rivalling any of the now famous desert courses in Arizona or California.

EL Cortijo Grande, flanked by mountains that rise to almost 1,000m above sea level, is an ancient oasis in the traditionally arid region of Almeria.
Here, the surrounding desert gives way to the lushness of the golf course, while olive and orange trees flourish on fertile terraces. The current 9-hole (18 tee) golf course with its majestic backdrop is breathtaking.

Inaugurated in spring 2002. The course combines flat fairways adjacent to the sea, 3 lakes which come into play and undulating terrain on the mountainside with the most spectacular 3rd hole; a testing par 5 where the tee is positioned 65 metres above and 483 metres from the green.
